	Due to scheduled network maintenance, A-to-Z will be unavailable on Saturday, 14 February 2009 at 12:00 for approximately one hour.

	On Monday, Sep. 1, Academia Sinica Library Service Website will be change URL from http://www.sinica.edu.tw/~libserv/engaslib/engindex.html to http://aslib.sinica.edu.tw/eng/engindex.html.

	Taylor Francis Group Maintenance Notice. (2008/8/8)

	Taylor Francis Group will be performing maintenance on the servers. The maintenance will take place beginning Friday August 8th at 14:30 (4:30 P.M.) Eastern Time through Friday August 8th 2008 at 20:00 (10:00 P.M.) Eastern Time.

	SDOS will be offline on 18 May. (2008/5/14)

	Because of the maintenance of air condition, SDOS Server will be out of service on 18 May from 7:30 A.M. to 14:30 P.M.. Once the maintenance finished, we will get all services ready immediately. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

	Academia Sinica Library Service will be offline on August 18-19. (2007/8/10)

	Because of the facility maintenance of Computer room, Academia Sinica Library Service , WebPAC, Database and, E-Journal Services will be offline (on August 18 from 12:00 a.m. to August 19 12:00 a.m.) Once the maintenance finished, we will get all services ready immediately. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

	IEEE will be offline on August 4 - 5. (2007/8/3)

	On Saturday, August 4, IEEE will perform planned upgrades to their systems. These upgrades require that IEEE Xplore will be offline from 9PM Saturday to 12AM Sunday. The downtime will affect all products delivered through IEEE Xplore including IEL, ASPP, POP, IEEE Enterprise, IEEE Power & Energy Library, and IEEE Standards Online.

	"e-Print" area adds "Open J-Gate" (2007/7/23)

	The “e-Print” area adds a new item, “Open J-Gate”, which is an electronic gateway to global journal literature in open access domain. Launched in 2006, Open J-Gate is the contribution of Informatics (India) Ltd to promote OAI. Open J-Gate provides seamless access to millions of journal articles available online. Open J-Gate is also a database of journal literature, indexed from 4000+ open access journals, with links to full text at Publisher sites.

	WanFang Data Trial (Chinese Database) is offered (2007/7/13)

	Database Name : WanFang Data Trial Period : end on Aug 31, 2007 IP Addresses : Academia Sinica Only URL : http://hk.wanfangdata.com Description : Wanfang Data is a comprehensive databases in the area of social sciences, arts and humanities, and business and economics. The sub-databases include Dissertations of China (DOC), Academic Conferences in China (ACIC), Policies and Laws of China (PLOC), China Online Journals (COJ), Chinese Companies & Products (CECDB), etc.

	Library Service Website provides RSS service (2007/7/3)

	Starting from 2 July 2007, an alerting news service of Library Service Portal Website at Academia Sinica will push to end users automatically, that is, RSS. Please copy the URL of RSS icon into your RSS reader directly and then subscription of RSS service will be completed, as well as news relating to the library services and resources will deliver to your RSS reader. 	"Internet Resource" area adds "SHERPA-RoMEO" (2007/6/13)

	The “Internet Resource” area adds a new item, “SHERPA-RoMEO”, which the service is provided and maintained by the SHERPA Project in UK. The SHERPA-RoMEO website aims to offer a summary of permissions that are normally given as part of each publisher's copyright transfer agreement, and can browse by publisher’s name and query by journal title, publisher and ISSN.

	WebSite Update (2007/5/31)

	Several areas of Library Service Portal Website had updated, including "Library Introduction", "Special Collection", "Internet Resource", and "E-journals". Furthermore, the "e-Print" area had revised into a new version wholly. In the near future, a new version for "E-journals" and “Databases” area will be available.
